<br />115 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1974 - 19 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE III OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, "FIRE PREVENTION CODE" BY AMENDING <br />SECTION 13.1 TO INCLUDE A SUBSECTION C EXTENDING THE <br />APPLICABILITY OF SAID 6ECTION FOR A DISTANCE OUTSIDE THE <br />CITY LIMITS FOR A TOTAL OF FIVE THOUSAND (5,000) FEET. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcas, Texas, is committed <br /> <br />ta fire prevention within the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to extend the applicability of Section 13 <br /> <br />of its Fire Prevention Cade ta surrounding areas cantiguous to the City in <br /> <br />the interest of health, safety and welfare af the citizens; naw, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1. That Chapter 10, Article III of the Cade of Ordinances af the City <br /> <br />o,f San Marcos, Texas, "Fire Preventian Cade" be, and is, hereby amended by <br /> <br />adding a subsection c to Section 13.1 sa as to read as follows: <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />c. This article shall be applicable and in farce within the area <br />immediately adjacent and contiguous to the City Limits of the City <br />of San Marcos, and extending for a distance outside the City Limits; <br />provided that this Ordinance shall not apply within any part ion af <br />such 5,000 feet area which is contained within the territory of any <br />other municipal carporation. <br /> <br />Part 2.
