<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />129 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1974-12-R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHO- <br />RIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN <br />APPLICATION TO THE BUREAU OF OUTDOOR <br />RECREATION FOR THE ACQUISITION OF <br />SURPLUS PROPERTY, BEING A "PORTION OF <br />FORMER CAMP GARY, CALDWELL COUNTY, <br />TEXAS, GSA CONTROL NO. GD-TEX-669D, <br />CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 40.85 <br />ACRES, MORE OR LESS". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos <br />desires to acquire the above specified property for the pur- <br />pose of a public park and recreational facility; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to designate the City <br />Manager, Mr. James B. Baugh, to act as the authorized repre- <br />sentative in all matters pertaining to the transfer of the <br />property; including necessary expenditures to cover adminis- <br />trative expenses; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1: That Mr. James B. Baugh, City Manager, or his <br />successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to submit an appli- <br />cation_to the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation, Department of the <br />Interior, United States Government, under the provisions of <br />Section 203(K)(2) of the Federal Property and Administrative <br />Services Act of 1949, (63 Stat. 387), as amended, and regula- <br />tions and procedures promulgated thereunder, for the purpose <br />of acquiring surplus property being "a portion of former Camp <br />Gary, Caldwell County, Texas, GSA control No. GD-Tex-669D, <br />consisting of approximately 40.85 acres, more or less". <br /> <br />PART 2: That Mr. James B.
