1973-S-R f( RES 0 L UTI 0 N I WHEREAS, the Federal Government has invited the City of San Marcos, Texas, to submit a Community Development Statement 1 and, WHEREAS, such Statement is the cr1teria for establishing Annual Arrangement Citiesl and, WHEREAS, all future Federal Funds will be distributed through the Annual Arrangement process to Cities desig- nated as Annual Arrangement Citiesl NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas: i. That a Community Development Statement be sub- mitted to the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Such Statement establishes the City of San Marcos' 1ntention to become an Annual Arrangement City. 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute and to file such Statement with the Department of Housing and Urban Deve- lopment to provide additional information and to furnish such documents as may be required by said Department and to act as the authorized correspondent of the City of San Marcos, Texas. I 3. That the United States of America and the Secre- tary of Housing and Urban Oevelopment be, and they hereby are, assured of full compliance by the City of San Marcos with regulations of the Department of Housing and Urban Development effectuating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. 4. That the Un~ted States of America and the Sec- retary of Housing and Urban Development be, and they hereby are, assured of full compliance by the City of San Marcos, with the Federal Labor Stand- ards imposed under Title VII of the Housing Act of 1961, as amended.
