<br />1973 - 15 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN OROINANCE RELATING TO PLACEMENT FOR <br />COLLECTION THEREFROM ANO REMOVAL THEREAFTER <br />OF GARBAGE AND TRASH CANS; AMENDING SEC. <br />12-5 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED "PLACEMENT <br />FOR COLLECTION", BY OENOMINATING THE <br />PRESENT SECTION AS (a), AND BY ADDING A NEW <br />SECTION (b) GOVERNING THE REMOVAL OF GARBAGE <br />AND TRASH CANS AFTER COLLECTION THEREFROM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />l. <br /> <br />That the present Section 12-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, be amended so that said section shall henceforth read as follows: <br /> <br />SECTION 12-5. GARBAGE AND TRASH CANS--PLACEMENT FOR COLLECTION AND REMOVAL AFTER <br />COLLECTION. <br /> <br />(a) The garbage and trash cans required by this chapter shall be <br />placed on or near the curb line in front of or to the side <br />of the premises, or in an alleyway adjacent to the premises, <br />in such manner, at such place, and at such time as shall be <br />prescribed by the City. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(b) As soon as practicable after the garbage and trash have been <br />removed by the co 11 ector, the person own ing, manag i ng, ope rat I ng, <br />leasing, occupying or renting the premises shall remove all cans <br />to a place behind the "bui lding I ine" of the premises.
