<br />AN ORDINANCE
<br />
<br />APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF
<br />THE SALE BY THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF
<br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PARCEL
<br />#14D-18 (SEE LEGAL READING), LOCATED WITHIN
<br />THE JUAN VERAMENDI, PROJECT NDP, TEX. A-6,
<br />TO JOSE S. GARCIA, AN INDIVIDUAL HOMEOWNER
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of San
<br />Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids for the sale of certain
<br />property available for disposition within its Juan Veramendi
<br />Urban Renewal Project NDP, Tex. A-6, in the San Marcos Record,
<br />a local newspaper with a general circulation withln the C~ty
<br />of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement there was a bid
<br />submitted by Jose S. Garcia for all of Parcel #14D-18 within
<br />said project; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the said bid met the minimum disposition price
<br />set upon said property by the Agency; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid was accepted by the Board of Commissioners
<br />of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />after the bid opening of April 17, 1973, and by a resolution
<br />duly passed on May 7, 1973, and whereas said Resolution
<br />authorizes sale to Jose S. Garcia and recommended the ac-
<br />ceptance and approval of the terms and conditions of the
<br />sale to the City Council; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the aforementioned bid and proposed use set forth
<br />in said bid and its terms and conditions conform to the Redevelop-
<br />ment Plan for the Juan Veramendi project, NDP, Tex. A-6, and
<br />conform to the plan for the development of the City as a whole.

<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
<br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, THAT:
<br />
<br />1. The price and conditions of the sale of the Urban
<br />Renewal Agency of the City of San Marcos, Texas, of Parcel
<br />#14D-18 within the Juan Veramendi project, NDP, Tex. A-6, to
<br />Jose S. Garcia, are hereby approved in accordance with Section
<br />11, of Article 1269!-3, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statues of
<br />Texas.

<br />2. The property to be sold as authorized in paragraph 1
<br />above is more particularly described by field notes attached
<br />hereto and marked as Exhibit "A" of this Ordinance.
<br />
<br />3. The consideration for said sale being $0.24 per square
<br />foot or a total consideration of $1,900.00 is also hereby
<br />approved.
<br />
<br />4. The sale by the Urban Renewal Agency is made subject to
<br />the restriction of the Redevelopment Plan for the Juan Veramendi
<br />Project NDP, Tex. A-6, as approved and amended and on file in
<br />the office of the City Clerk.

<br />5. The condition of the disposition documents, including
<br />the Deed and Contract for Sale of Land for Private Redevelopment,
<br />a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk.
