I I I 1972-17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED "WATER AND SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL" BY DELETING SECTION 30-35 RATES OF ARTICLE I I THEREOF; SUBSTITUTING A NEW SECTION UNDER THE SAME NAME AND NUMBER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY -BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I. That the present Section 30-35 Rates of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, be deleted and an entirely new section under the same name and number be substituted therefor, so that said section shal I henceforth read as fol lows: Sect i on 30-35 Rates The rates or charges for services to users of the sanitary sewage system of the City shall be as follows: (A) Residenti'al users, including and I imited to single family and duplex residential users; $2.00 for the first 2,000 gal Ions of water consumed, plus $.15 per 1,000 gallons or any part thereof in excess of 2,000 gallons, not to exceed $5.60 per month for sewer service. (S) Commercial users; including but not I imited to office bui Idings, fi I I ing stations, cleaning and pressing stores, cafes, drug stores, furniture stores, apartment houses, hotels, mobile home parks, dry goods stores, bakeries, and any other business establ ishment not herein enumerated; $2.00 for the first 2,000 gallons of water consumed, plus $.25 per 1,000 gallons or any part thereof in excess of 2,000 gallons per month. (C) All educational institutions with in-resident students ~hall pay $0.30 per 1,000 gallons calculated on the following formula: Resident students X 50 gal Ions per day Non-resident students X 15 gal Ions per day Faculty and Staff X 15 gallons per day (D) The schedule of minimum charges herein provided shal I apply for each month during the time these rates and charges are in effect, or for any fractional part of a month. (E) The charges levied and assessed by this section are and shall be levied and assessed against the person in whose name the water meter at such place, building, structure or establ ishment is I isted and assessed. Any reference made to any person, building, structure, business or establishment of any kind in this section shal I be construed as being made to the person in whose name the estab I i shment is I, i sted and assessed.
