<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />L--__ -'- <br /> <br />IS! <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR EXECUT10N <br />OF PROPOSED TEX-E-19 AMENDATORY CONTRACT AMENDING <br />GRANT CONTRACT FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, <br />NUMBERED CONTRACT NO. TEX-E-19(G), BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND THE UNITED STATES <br />OF AMERICA. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, <br />the United States of America (herein cal led the "Government") <br />has tendered to the City of San Marcos, Texas (herein cal led the <br />"Publ ic Body") a proposed amendment to Grant Contract for Code <br />Enforcement Program No. TEX-E-19, dated the 24th ~ay of August, <br />1971. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Public Body has given due consideration to said <br />proposed Amendatory Contract and has found it to be in the <br />interest of this local ity to execute such Amendatory Contract, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Publ ic Body is duly authorized, under and pursuant <br />to the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, to undertake <br />and carry out the preparation of the Program, and <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The pending proposed Amendatory Contract, designated <br />"TEX-E-19(G) Amendatory Contract Amending Grant Contract for Code <br />Enforcement Program, Contract No. TEX-E-19(G)," is hereby approved <br />in al I respects. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Mayor of this Publ ic Body in its behalf is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute said proposed Amendatory <br />Contract in two counterparts, and the City Secretary of this Public <br />Body is hereby authorized and directed to impress and attest the <br />official seal of this Publ ic Body on each such counterpart and to <br />forward such counterparts to the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development, together with two certified copies of the proceedings <br />in connection with the passage of this Resolution, two certified <br />copies of this Resolution, and such other and further documents <br />relative to the approval and execution of the Contract as may be <br />required by the Government. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Director of Code Enforcement of this Publ ic <br />Body is hereby authorized to fi Ie requisitions, ~ogether with <br />necessary supporting documents, with the Government, from time to <br />time as Grant funds are required, requesting payments to be made to <br />it on account of the Grant provided for in the Amendatory Contract, <br />and to do and perform al I other things and acts required to be done <br />or performed in order to obtain such payments. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this the 24th day of July, 1972. <br /> <br />4c&o.-J//~ <br /> <br />~iano H.
