156. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2003- 11 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND GILLAND LAWN SERVICE TO <br />EXTEND THE TERM OF THE LAWN MAINTENANCE CONTRACT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. On February 1,2000 the City Council of the City of San Marcos approved an <br />annual contract for the provision of lawn maintenance services (the "Contract")with Gilland <br />Lawn Service. <br /> <br /> 2. On January 22, 2001 and on January 14, 2002 both parties agreed to <br />extensions of the current Contract for additional terms. <br /> <br />Both parties agree to an extension of the Contract for an additional year. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The attached letter agreement between the City of San Marcos and <br />Gilland Lawn Service to extend the term of the Contract is approved. <br /> <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the letter <br />agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br /> PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 13th day of <br /> <br />,~nYs K.
