<br />25. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005- 22 <br /> <br />() <br />:; i:: ~ <br />~~ ~ IGJ] <br />rn-< - Q, <br />PJO - - <br />::Jr- ~ g,m <br />~m f',) Fnc <br />II) oN C) <br />a ^ C) <br />o V1 3l: <br />en <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 96.324 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2600 - <br />3000 BLOCKS OF OLD BASTROP ROAD (COUNTY ROAD <br />266) AS "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On February 8, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning as "P" Public and Institutional <br />District, for a 96.324 acre, more or less, tract of land located in the 2600 - 3000 Blocks of Old <br />Bastrop Road (County Road 266). <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on February 8, 2005 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 21st day of March <br />2005, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter I, Development Procedures, and Chapter 4, Zoning <br />Regulations, of the City Code Land Development pertaining to zoning map amendments have <br />been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section4.1.2.2 of the <br />City Land Development Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property <br />as "P" Public and Institutional District: <br /> <br />Street address: 2600 - 3000 Blocks of Old Bastrop Road (County Road 266). <br /> <br />Size: 96.324 acres, more or less. <br /> <br />Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. <br />
