ORDINANCE NO. 2005- 22 () :; i:: ~ ~~ ~ IGJ] rn-< - Q, PJO - - ::Jr- ~ g,m ~m f',) Fnc II) oN C) a ^ C) o V1 3l: en AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 96.324 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2600 - 3000 BLOCKS OF OLD BASTROP ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 266) AS "P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. On February 8, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning as "P" Public and Institutional District, for a 96.324 acre, more or less, tract of land located in the 2600 - 3000 Blocks of Old Bastrop Road (County Road 266). 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on February 8, 2005 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 21st day of March 2005, regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Chapter I, Development Procedures, and Chapter 4, Zoning Regulations, of the City Code Land Development pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section4.1.2.2 of the City Land Development Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property as "P" Public and Institutional District: Street address: 2600 - 3000 Blocks of Old Bastrop Road (County Road 266). Size: 96.324 acres, more or less. Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A.
