ORDINANCE NO. 2005~ 24 Q i: ~:!l - '<0 l> 0- --f :::0 cn-< <:> S>>() .r- ::::Jr ~ ~m s::m ~ ~O s>>:D C) a" 0 0 U1 i: (/) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 12.929 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2600 BLOCK OF HUNTER ROAD AS "GC" GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. On February 8, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning as "GC" General Commercial for a 12.929 acre, more or less, tract ofland located in the 2700 Block of Hunter Road. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on February 8, 2005 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 21st day of March 2005, regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Chapter I, Development Procedures, and Chapter 4, Zoning Regulations, of the City Land Development Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby fInds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 4.1.2.2 ofthe City Land Development Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property as "GC" General Commercial District: TRACT 1: Street address: 2600 Block of Hunter Road. Size: 12.086 acres, more or less. Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. Deed or plat reference: Volume 2544, Page 647 of the Hays Coooty Deed Records.
