<br />29. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2005~ 24 <br /> <br />Q i: ~:!l <br />- <br />'<0 l> <br />0- <br />--f :::0 <br />cn-< <:> <br />S>>() .r- <br />::::Jr ~ ~m <br />s::m ~ ~O <br />s>>:D C) <br />a" 0 <br />0 U1 i: <br />(/) <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 12.929 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2600 <br />BLOCK OF HUNTER ROAD AS "GC" GENERAL <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On February 8, 2005, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to establish the zoning as "GC" General Commercial <br />for a 12.929 acre, more or less, tract ofland located in the 2700 Block of Hunter Road. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />did, on February 8, 2005 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the <br />request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 21st day of March <br />2005, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter I, Development Procedures, and Chapter 4, Zoning <br />Regulations, of the City Land Development Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have <br />been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby fInds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 4.1.2.2 ofthe <br />City Land Development Code, is amended to establish the zoning for the following real property <br />as "GC" General Commercial District: <br /> <br />TRACT 1: <br /> <br />Street address: 2600 Block of Hunter Road. <br /> <br />Size: 12.086 acres, more or less. <br /> <br />Legal description: See the metes and bounds description attached as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 2544, Page 647 of the Hays Coooty Deed Records. <br />
