<br />230. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2001- 11 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE <br />APPOINTMENT OF LYNDA DICKEY AS ASSISTANT <br />CITY CLERK FOR PURPOSES OF VITAL STATISTICS <br />RECORDS ADMINISTRATION; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Section 191.022 of the Texas Health and Safety Code designates the City <br />Clerk as the local registrar of births and deaths of persons occurring within the City. <br /> <br />2. A need exists for the appointment by the City Clerk of an Assistant City Clerk <br />to serve as a deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics records administration. <br /> <br />3. The approval of the City Council is necessary for the appointment of <br />Assistant City Clerks under City Charter Section 4.02. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the appointment by the City Clerk of Lynda Dickey as Assistant <br />City Clerk to serve as deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics records <br />administration is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2.
