<br />124. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2000- 17 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A <br />CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY <br />TO JOSE R. GARZA, D/B/A! JOEY'S CITY CAB, FOR THE <br />PROVISION OF TAXICAB SERVICES IN SAN MARCOS, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On February 14,2000, the San Marcos City Council held a public hearing regarding an <br />application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity from Jose R. Garza, d/b/a! Joey's <br />City Cab, for the provision of taxicab services in the City. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the City Council determined that all <br />requirements of Chapter 90, Article 3 of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to the issuance of a <br />taxicab business certificate of convenience and necessity have been met by the applicant. <br /> <br />3. The City Council finds that this taxicab business is required to adequately serve the public <br />convenience and necessity and that the applicant is fit, willing and able to operate a taxi business and <br />to conform to the provisions of City ordinances. <br /> <br />BE ITRESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />P ART 1. The issuance of a Taxicab Business Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity to Jose R. Garza, d/b/a! Joey's City Cab, is hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Secretary, Janis K. Womack, is directed to issue a Taxicab Business <br />Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to Jose R. Garza d/b/a! Joey's City Cab. <br /> <br />PART 3.
