In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1999-2000 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1999-2000 Fiscal Year is amended <br />as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funding for restroom, kitchen and <br />meeting room facility renovations and code compliance at the Greater San Marcos Area <br />Seniors Association facility. This funding amount will not apply towards satisfaction of the <br />Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association's obligations for investment in the <br />renovation of the the Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association's facility under its <br />lease with the City. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1999-2000, are approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance <br />is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other <br />provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the <br />invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final <br />passage, and the City Secretary will be publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading January 10, 2000. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading January 24,2000. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED February 14, 2000. <br /> <br />~~,~ <br /> <br />Billy G.
