' <br />o:::U <br />;::: . ~ <br />Ll.!:i <br />5,,,, <br />UJ~ <br />en <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE AMOUNTS OF FEES <br />FOR VARIOUS DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES; INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENAL TIES. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Sections 14.026, 14.027,14.051 and 14.374 of the City Code authorize the CityCouncilto set the <br />amounts of fees related to building construction and inspection activities and contractor licensing. <br /> <br />2. Sections 106.041, 106.042 and 106.076 of the City Code authorize the City Council to set the <br />amounts of fees related to signs and inspection activities and sign contractor licensing. <br /> <br />3. Section 110.044 of the City Code authorizes the City Council to set the amounts of fees related <br />to subdivision platting. <br /> <br />4. Section 110.028 ofthe City Code authorizes the City Council to set the amounts of fees related <br />to the rezoning of property. <br /> <br />5. The Planning and Zoning Commission has made recommendations to the City Council on the <br />increase of fees related to subdivision platting and rezoning. <br /> <br />6. The City Council recently amended the amounts offees related to various development activities <br />in Ordinance 1999-84. <br /> <br />7. The City Council recently amended the amounts of fees related to sign permits and sign contractor <br />licensing, in an ordinance adopted by the City Council on February 14,2000. These fees, as revised, <br />are incorporated into but unchanged by this ordinance. <br /> <br />8. The City Council wishes to amend the amounts of fees related to subdivision platting and <br />rezoning activities set in Ordinance 1999-84, to set limits on the maximum amounts of these fees. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The following fees are set for building and sign construction and inspection activities <br />and contractor licensing under Sections 14.026, 14.027, 14.051, 106.041, 106.042 and 106.076 of <br />the City Code: <br /> <br />New Construction Permits: <br />Single-family residential <br />All other construction <br /> <br />20~/square foot <br />30~/square foot <br /> <br />Remodeling. Repair and Alteration Permits: <br />Additions to an existing building <br />Remodeling within existing building <br /> <br />Same as new construction <br />Y2 of new construction fee for <br />remodeled area <br />$35 <br />$75 <br /> <br />Minimum fee-residential remodeling <br />Minimum fee-all other remodeling <br /> <br />Demolition Permits: <br />Residential <br />All other <br /> <br />$25 <br />$50 <br /> <br />Electrical Permits: <br />New construction <br />Remodeling, repairs and alterations <br /> <br />$15 application fee <br />3~/$1 valuation, $15 min. <br /> <br />Plumbing Permits: <br />
