<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />50. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006- 1 2 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING A LIST OF APPLICANTS ELIGIBLE FOR <br />ASSISTANCE FROM THE TEXAS HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS <br />PROGRAM OWNER-OCCUPIED ASSISTANCE FUND THROUGH THE <br />TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS; <br />AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE GRANT <br />ADMINISTRATION PROCESS WITH THESE APPLICANTS AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council desires to develop a viable urban community, including decent <br />housing and a suitable living environment with expanding economic opportunities for persons of <br />low income. <br /> <br />2. The City has received grant funding from the Texas Department of Housmg and <br />Community Affairs ("TDHCA") for an Owner-Occupied Assistance, Texas Home Investment <br />Partnership ("HOME") Program (Contract # 1000285). <br /> <br />3. Through a priority scoring system, the City must approve a list of applicants <br />elIgible for assistance through the HOME Program. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />P ART 1. The attached list of potential HOME applicants be approved as eligible to <br />participate in the City's HOME Program. <br /> <br />p ART 2. The elIgible applicants in the attached list be considered in the order pnonty <br />with #1 being the highest priority with the understanding that only eight homeowners will be <br />assisted due to limited funding. <br /> <br />P ART 3.
