<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />57. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2006 - 1 5 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING A PARTNERSHIPS IN PARKS GRANT APPLICATION <br />FROM THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY ("LCRA") FOR <br />GRANT FUNDING FOR PHASES 3 AND 4 OF THE SKATE PARK <br />PROJECT; RATIFYING THE SUBMISSION OFTHE GRANT APPLICATION <br />TO LCRA; CERTIFYING THAT CITY MATCHING FUNDS FOR THIS <br />APPLICATION ARE READILY AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME; AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THIS <br />APPLICATION AND SUBSEQUENT GRANT AGREEMENT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The Partnership in Parks ("PIP") program is a LCRA program that provides <br />funding for political subdivisions in LCRA's service area for local parks and recreation <br />projects. <br /> <br />2. The City is fully eligible to receive assistance under the PIP program. <br /> <br />3. On December 15, 2005, the City submitted a PIP grant application to LCRA <br />for grant funding for phases 3 and 4 of the skate park project. <br /> <br />4. Due to the deadline for submission, City staff were unable to set the grant <br />application for consideration by City Council consideration prior to its submission. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1 . <br />program. <br /> <br />The City certifes that it is eligible to receive assistance under the PIP <br /> <br />PART 2. The Partnerships in Parks grant application from LCRA for matching <br />grant funds for phases 3 and 4 of the skate park project is approved. <br /> <br />PART 3. The City certifies that matching funds for this application are readily <br />available at this time. <br /> <br />PART 4. The filing of a grant application for a Partnerships in Parks Program <br />grant from LCRA is ratified. <br /> <br />PART 5. Dan O'Leary, City Manager is authorized to act in all matters related <br />to this application and any subsequent grant agreement. <br /> <br />PART 6. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br />after its passage. <br />
