ORDINANCE NO. 2003- 4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A 2.00 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 2200 BLOCK OF CLOVIS BARKER ROAD AS "LI" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. On November 26, 2002, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to assign the zoning of "LI' Light Industrial District to an unzoned 2.00 acre tract of property located in the 2200 Block of Clovis Barker Road. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on November 26, 2002 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 27TH day of 2003, regarding the request. ~JAHIJARY , 4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the Sm~ Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to zone the following real property, which is presently unzoned, as "LI' Light Industrial District: Street address: 2200 Block of Clovis Barker Road. Size: 2.00 acres. Legal description: Lot I, Highway 123 Business Park Subdivision. Deed or plat reference: Volume 10, Page 347, Hays County Plat Records.
