RESOLUTION 2003 ~ 26 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING THE REALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING FROM SUBSTANDARD <br />BUILDING ACQUISITION AND NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALK PROJECTS <br />TO DRAINAGE, WATERNVASTEWATER, PARK IMPROVEMENTS AND <br />EMERGENCY/URGENT NEED PROJECTS; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Admiral Linen Building was not purchased with CDBG funds due to <br />environmental concerns, resulting in a savings of $193,347.60 (Acct. #250-335-56113). <br /> <br /> 2. Several years of neighborhood sidewalk projects came in under the <br />estimated bid amount, resulting in a savings of $186,658.96 (Acct. #250-335-56112). <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council has conducted a public hearing on the reallocation of the <br />$380,006.56 in savings from these two projects, and the Council wishes to reallocate <br />these funds to drainage, water and wastewater, park improvements and emergency/urgent <br />need projects. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The reallocation of $380,006.56 in CDBG funding from the proposed <br />purchase of the Admiral Linen Building and Neighborhood Sidewalk Project to the following <br />projects is approved: <br /> <br />1. Drainage $115,000.00 <br />2. Water/VVastewater $200,000.00 <br />3. Park Improvements $ 50,000.00 <br />4. Emergency/Urgent Need $ 15,006.56 <br /> <br />Total: $380,006.56 <br /> <br /> PART 2. <br />passage. <br /> <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the toth day of ]reb~a~:~, ,2003. <br /> <br /> <br />
