<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE
<br />ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1981, WHICH SET FORTH AN
<br />ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING
<br />EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERN-
<br />MENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
<br />ON OCTOBER 1, 1981, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30,
<br />1982, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARwOUS
<br />FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REVISE
<br />SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS;
<br />ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING
<br />AN EMERGENCY.

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget for said
<br />city for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1981 and ending
<br />September 30, 1982, on September 8, 1981; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council de-
<br />clares that a public necessity exists, to-wit: the need to
<br />appropriate money from a land sale; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That that Ordinance of September 8, 1981, which
<br />set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of conducting each
<br />administrative unit of the municipal government of said city for
<br />the fiscal year beginning on October 1, 1981, and ending on
<br />September 30, 1982, and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate, be, and the same is hereby, amended
<br />as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and is in-
<br />corporated herein, in words and figures as shown therein, for
<br />all intents and purposes.

<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations,
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the ci ty of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1981-1982 beginning October 1, 1981
<br />and ending on September 30, 1982, be, and the same are hereby,
<br />approved and adopted.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates
<br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions
<br />of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three
<br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective
<br />until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its
<br />final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby
<br />suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
<br />force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a
<br />newspaper of general circulation within the City.
