<br /> <br />85 <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1982-6B <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SEC- <br />TION 29-99 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br />SAID CITY TO ADD ONE LOCATION AT WHICH <br />TRAFFIC SHALL MOVE ONLY IN THE DIRECTION <br />INDICATEDiSUSPENDING THE RULE REQUIRING <br />THE READING OF AN ORDINANCE ON THREE <br />SEPARATE DAYS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 29-99 of the Code of Ordinances <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 29-99. One-way streets and alleys. <br /> <br />In accordance with the terms of this chapter <br />and when properly signposted, traffic shall move <br />only in the direction designated upon the follow- <br />ing streets and alleys: <br /> <br />Blanco Street, from Hutchison Street to Burleson <br />Street- Northwest, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />during school days. <br />Grove Street, from Guadalupe Street to L.B.J. <br />Drive- East. <br /> <br />Guadalupe Street, from University Drive to Grove <br />Street- South. <br /> <br />L.B.J. Drive, from Grove Street to University <br />Drive- North. <br /> <br />Post Office Alley, from Comal Street to Hutchison <br />Street- North. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the <br />provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be <br />read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br />become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days follow- <br />ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and these <br />provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall <br />take effect and be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circula- <br />tion within the City. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 8th day of <br />1982. <br /> <br />March <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Craddock <br /> <br />Attest: . <br /> <br />rx1 iVr- ...
