85 ORDINANCE NO. 1982-6B AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SEC- TION 29-99 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADD ONE LOCATION AT WHICH TRAFFIC SHALL MOVE ONLY IN THE DIRECTION INDICATEDiSUSPENDING THE RULE REQUIRING THE READING OF AN ORDINANCE ON THREE SEPARATE DAYS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 29-99 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: Sec. 29-99. One-way streets and alleys. In accordance with the terms of this chapter and when properly signposted, traffic shall move only in the direction designated upon the follow- ing streets and alleys: Blanco Street, from Hutchison Street to Burleson Street- Northwest, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during school days. Grove Street, from Guadalupe Street to L.B.J. Drive- East. Guadalupe Street, from University Drive to Grove Street- South. L.B.J. Drive, from Grove Street to University Drive- North. Post Office Alley, from Comal Street to Hutchison Street- North. SECTION 2. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days follow- ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circula- tion within the City.
