<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />125 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1982- 15 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SEC- <br />TION 29-152(c) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF SAID CITY TO ADD ONE LOCATION WITHIN <br />SAID CITY WHICH SHALL BE DESIGNATED AS <br />A TOW-AWAY ZONE AND DECLARING AN EMER- <br />GENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That section 29-152(c) of the Code of Ordinances, <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 29-152 (c) <br /> <br />In the event any vehicle shall be found standing <br />or parked upon the following described parts of <br />streets the same shall be a nuisance per se, and <br />when signs are erected giving notice thereof, said <br />signs designating such area as a tow-away zone, <br />shall be removed by any police officer and taken <br />to a place designated by the director of public <br />safety for such purpose. Said streets which are <br />hereby designated as tow-away zones are: <br /> <br />Comanche Street, North side, Live Oak Street <br />west for 150 feet. <br /> <br />Ed. J.L. Green Street, East and West sides, <br />Sessom Drive to Alta Vista Street. <br /> <br />Forest Street, both sides, L.B.J. Drive to <br />Bluebonnet Street. <br /> <br />Lindsey Street, North side, North Street to <br />Comanche Street. <br /> <br />peques Street, as shown on the plat of the <br />H.A. Nelson First Addition to San Marcos, <br />Texas as recorded in Volume 89, page 224 <br />of the Hays County Deed Records~ both sides. <br /> <br />Vista Street, North side, Comanche Street <br />to North Street. <br /> <br />Vista Street, South side, Comanche Street <br />to North Street between the hours of 8:00 <br />a.m. to 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Woods Street, North side, North Street to <br />Comanche Street. <br /> <br />Notice to the owner of said vehicle shall be pro- <br />vided pursuant to Section 29-152(b). The owner <br />of said vehicle shall be entitled to the possession <br />thereof upon payment of all towing, preservation, <br />and storage charges resulting from placing the ve- <br />hicle in custody. Said charges shall be as au- <br />thorized by Section 38-8 of the Code of Ordinances <br />of San Marcos, Texas. In the event said vehicle <br />shall not be redeemed by its owner or agent within <br />twenty (20) days after the date of notice given <br />pursuant to Section 29-152(b), a notice of sale <br />shall be sent by registered or certified mail, return <br />
