<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DEDICATING
<br />0.57 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED IN SAID CITY
<br />FOR PARK PURPOSES AND DECLARING AN EFFEC-
<br />TIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />, 0.57 acres of land located at the intersection of
<br />Parkway and Cheatham Street in the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, and shown on the attached Exhibit A, was acquired by the
<br />Urban Renewal Agency of the City of San Marcos, Texas, by Agreed
<br />Judgment of April 8, 1974, as recorded in Volume 274, Page 645,
<br />Hays County Deed Records; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in 1975 said Urban Renewal Agency became a part of
<br />the City of San Marcos; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the City
<br />of San Marcos, Texas, on November 24, 1981, approved the usage
<br />of said land for park purposes and recommends that said land be
<br />set aside for park purposes; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That that certain tract of land as described here-
<br />ln, be, and the same is hereby, dedicated to use as parkland and
<br />park purposes, said tract being more particularly described as
<br />follows:
<br />
<br />BEING ALL OF TRACT 1 AND 2, AND A PORTION OF TRACT
<br />3, AS AWARDED TO THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS BY AGREED JUDGEMENT AGAINST MARIE
<br />STEFFENS EL AL, IN CAUSE NUMBER 9291 OF THE 22ND
<br />JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 274,
<br />PAGE 645, HAYS COUNTY bEED RECORDS, AND BEING MORE
<br />PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS,
<br />TO-WIT:

<br />BEGINNING at an iron stake set at the intersection of
<br />the East side of C.M. Allen Parkway, with the South
<br />line of Cheatham Street, for the Northwest corner of
<br />the tract herein described, and from which the record
<br />Northwest corner of Tract 3, bears, S 800 42' W, 13.00
<br />feet;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said C.M. Allen Parkway, with the
<br />South line of the said Cheatham Street, N 800 42' E,
<br />at about 63 feet passing the guy wire of an overhead
<br />powerline, at 67.00 feet passing an iron stake set at
<br />the Northeast corner of the said Tract 3, the North-
<br />west corner of the said Tract 1, at 140.00 feet passing
<br />an iron stake set at the Northeast corner of the said
<br />Tract 1, the Northwest corner of the said Tract 2, and
<br />continuing on, in all, 200.00 feet to an iron stake set
<br />at the Northeast corner of the said Tract 2, for the
<br />Northeast corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said Cheatham Street, S 090 18' E,
<br />125.00 feet to an iron stake set at the Southeast cor-
<br />ner of the said Tract 2, for the Southeast corner of
<br />the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 800 42' W, at 60.00 feet passing an iron
<br />stake set at the Southwest corner of the said Tract 2,
<br />the Southeast corner of the aforementioned Tract 1,
<br />at 133.00 feet passing an iron stake set at the South-
<br />west corner of the said Tract 1, the Southeast corner
<br />of the aforementioned Tract 3, and continuing on, in
<br />all, 200.00 feet to an iron stake set for the Southwest
<br />corner of the tract herein described, same being on the
<br />East side of the aforementioned C.M. Allen Parkway;
