On February 14, 2006, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a <br />public hearing regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan <br />from Industrial to Commercial for a 30 acre, more or less, tract of property located in the <br />1300-1400 blocks of Center Point Road. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, on February 14, 2006, considered the request and voted to approve it and <br />has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on Marc h 18, <br />regarding the request. <br /> <br />, 2006, <br /> <br />4. All requirements of the City Master Plan and the City Land Development Code <br />pertaining to Future Land Use Map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of this <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The following described tract of real property, which is in an area <br />shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as <br />Industrial, shall be shown on that map as Commercial: <br /> <br />Street address: 1300-1400 Blocks of Center Point Road <br /> <br />Size: 30 acres, more or less <br /> <br />Description: The tract of property depicted on the attached map labeled "Sketch <br />of Proposed 30 Acre Development" <br />
