SCHOOL ZONE IN THE 300 BLOCK OF <br />NORTH STREET; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.003(c) of the San Marcos City Code, the traffic <br />register maintained under Section 82.067 of the City Code is amended by revising the time periods <br />for the following reduced speed school zone: <br /> <br />20 Miles Per Hour, on school days between the hours of8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. <br />to 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 3 :30 p.m., for the 300 Block of North Street, between Hutchison <br />and Lindsey Streets. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance <br />is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of <br />this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions <br />in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a <br />misdemeanor and is subject upon conviction, in addition to other penalties provided by law, to the <br />penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. This Ordinance takes effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, <br />and the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />City. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading January 25, 1999. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading February 8, 1999. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED February 22, 1999. <br /> <br />r)/-7~~n <br />o~ B.
