r :IE D~ g "S""' U ~~ at -:s- -s-- 0- >-rn 0:::8 ~~ u.J:E frlj G4')'8 51 155 ORDINANCE 1999 - ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY REVISING THE TIME PERIODS FOR A 20 M.P.H. SCHOOL ZONE IN THE 300 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.003(c) of the San Marcos City Code, the traffic register maintained under Section 82.067 of the City Code is amended by revising the time periods for the following reduced speed school zone: 20 Miles Per Hour, on school days between the hours of8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 3 :30 p.m., for the 300 Block of North Street, between Hutchison and Lindsey Streets. SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance commits a misdemeanor and is subject upon conviction, in addition to other penalties provided by law, to the penalty provided in Section 1.015 of the San Marcos City Code. SECTION 5. This Ordinance takes effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
