r~.. ~.. --~ CT~~ IIJ~ ~ "'u f'-." . 0 ('\j 17 (I' 1:11 Q:;~ td~ (;;)- o ORDINANCE 1999 - 15 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF L YNAE COURT TO REDBUD COURT FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SIERRA RIDGE DRIVE TO ITS DEAD END AS A CUL- DE-SAC; CHANGING THE NAME OF VALERIE COURT TO YAUPON COURT FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SIERRA RIDGE DRIVE TO ITS DEAD END AS A CUL-DE-SAC; CHANGING THE NAME OF MELANIE COURT TO JUNIPER COURT FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SIERRA RIDGE DRIVE TO ITS DEAD END AS A CUL-DE-SAC; CHANGING THE NAME OF BONNIE COURT TO SENISA COURT FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SIERRA RIDGE DRIVE TO ITS DEAD END AS A CUL-DE-SAC; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On January 12, 1999 the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the names of the following streets: Lynae Court to Redbud Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac; Valerie Court to Yaupon Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac; Melanie Court to Juniper Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac; and Bonnie Court to Senisa Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac; 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on January 12, 1999, approve the request and has recommend that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on 8th day of February 1999 regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the San Marcos Code pertaining to street name changes have been meet. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the street name for Lynae Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac is changed to Redbud Court. SECTION 2. That the street name for Valerie Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac is changed to Yaupon Court. SECTION 3. That the street name for Melanie Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac is changed to Juniper Court. SECTION 4. That the street name for Bonnie Court from its intersection with Sierra Ridge Drive to its dead end as a cul-de-sac is changed to Senisa Court. SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
