47 RESOLUTION NO. 1980-10R I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE INSTALLATION, CONSTRUCTION, EXISTENCE, USE, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF THE EAST AND WEST ACCESS ROADS TO INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AND STATE HIGHWAY 80 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND TRANSMIT SAID AGREEMENT TO THE STATE OF TEXAS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE '" WHEREAS, the State of Texas has recognized the need for traffic signals at the intersection of the access roads to Interstate Highway 35 and State Highway 80; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, also recognizes the need for this signalization; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I PART 1. That the agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas, and the State of Texas, for the installation, construction, existence, use, operation, and maintenance of traffic signals at the intersections of the east and west access roads to Interstate Highway 35 and State Highway 80, as shown on Exhibit 1 of the agreement, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby approved. PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, John A. Hansen, or his successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said city. PART 3. That Mayor Hansen, or his successor, be, and is hereby, authorized to transmit said agreement to the State of Texas for appropriate action. PART 4.
