McALLISTER ADDITION AND LOT 3, BLOCK8, S.F. McALLlSTERADDITIONLOCATED ADJACENT TO THE 1100 BLOCK OF BEL VI N STREET; APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF THIS ALLEYWAY TO HUGH M. PADGETT, Ill; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A DEED; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. On January 26, 1999, the City Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed abandonment of the alleyway between Lot 4, Block 9, S. F. McAllister Addition and Lot 3, Block 8, of the S. F. McAllister Addition, located adjacent to the 1100 block of Belvin Street, and voted unanimously to approve the proposal. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The abandonment of the alleyway between Lot 4, Block 9 of the S.. F. McAllister Addition and Lot 3, Block 8 of the S. F. McAllister Addition is approved. SECTION 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the Quitclaim Deed attached to this ordinance conveying to Hugh M. Padgett, III the alleyway described above, without cash consideration. SECTION 3. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading March 1, 1999. PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading March 22, 1999.
