ORDINANCE NO. 2007- 19 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAROCS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM COMMERCIAL TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, FOR AN 1.703 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1100 PROSPECT STREET; FOR AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "D" DUPLEX DISTRICT TO "SF-6" SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECIT ALS: 1. On October 10, 2006, the City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan from Commercial to Low Density Residential, and a concurrent request to change the zoning from "D" Duplex District to "SF-6" Single Family District for an 1.703 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 1100 Prospect Street. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered and voted to approve the requests on October 10, 2006, and recommended that the requests be approved by the City Council. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on March 20,2007 requests. , regarding the 4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Future Land Use Plan of the San Marcos Horizons City Master Plan is revised to change the future land use designation from Commercial to Low Density Residential: Street address: 1100 Prospect Street.
