<br /> 61 <br /> RESOLUTION 1996 18 -R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND GILLAND LAWN SERVICE, TO <br /> EXTEND THE TERM OF THE LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. On February 1, 1995 the City of San Marcos entered into a landscape <br /> maintenance contract with Gilland Lawn Service. <br /> 2. On January 19, 1996 the City and Gilland Lawn Service entered into an <br /> agreement to ext~nd the term of the original contract for one month. <br /> 2. Both parties agree to an extension of the original contract for an additional <br /> 11 month period as provided in the original contract. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> ~ <br /> PART 1. That a letter agreement between the City of San Marcos and Gilland <br /> Lawn Service to extend the term of the landscape maintenance contract, a copy of which <br /> is attached to and incorporated in this Resolution for all intents and purposes, is approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
