<br />..9- <br />~ 31 <br />- <r 0- <br /> <br />- -- <br />-':.. 0- ..¡ <br />~.j ('1\ r-\ <br />;-:- ö ~:~ ~ ORDINANCE NO.-1996- 21 <br />'-""'"J-';' ~ :.J~' - <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE <br />1995-96 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment <br />of the City's 1995-96 budget. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the City Budget Ordinance for the 1995-96 Fiscal Year is hereby <br />amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funding for the <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That these revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended <br />budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1995-96, are hereby approved <br />and adopted. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an <br />Imperative public necessity so that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances <br />shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become <br />effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be <br />suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and after its publication in <br />a newspaper of general circulation within the City as provided by the City Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of March, 1996 <br /> <br /> <br />~~sVtt ~ <br />Mayor <br />Attest: <br />a4Y ~ Øf;fDC'J <br /> <br />Jllni: K.
