On January 9, 1996 the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of Perkins Street <br /> to Hood Street at its intersection with Larue Street and extending to its intersection with <br /> Hazelton Street. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, <br /> on January 9, 1996, approve the request and has recommended that the request be <br /> approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> 3. The City Council held a public hearing on 4th the day of March , <br /> 1996 regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to street <br /> name changes have been met. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the street name for Perkins Street from its intersection with Larue <br /> Street and extending to its intersection with Hazelton Street is changed to Hood Street. <br /> SECTION 2.
