RECITALS: 1, On December 13, 1994 the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "R-1" Single- Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "LB" Limited Business District for a 0.941 acre tract of property located in the 400 block of Sessom Drive. 2, Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on December 13, 1994, consider the request and voted to approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on th~ 13th day of February , 1995, regarding the request. 4, All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to amendments have been met. 5. The City Council finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently zoned "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (low density) to "LB" Limited Business District: Street address: 400 block of Sessom Drive Size: 0.941 acre, Leqal description: Lot 7B, Block 7, McNaughton Addition. Deed or plat reference: Volume 6, Page 253. Hays County Plat Records. SECTION 2, That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote to reconsider it. If reconsidered on 2/27/95 it shall be in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
