On February 14, 1995, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "C" <br /> Commercial District to "MF-3" Multi-Family Residential District (High Density) for a 22.26 <br /> acre tract of property located at the intersection of River Road and State Highway 80 (1600 <br /> Block of River Road). <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission did, on February 14, 1995, consider the request and voted to approve and <br /> has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. <br /> . <br /> 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 27th day of <br /> March , 1995, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance, of the Code of <br /> Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The City Council finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br /> ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 3 of <br /> the General Zoning Ordinance, is amended to rezone the following real property which is <br /> presently zoned "C" Commercial District to "MF-3" Multi-Family Residential District (High <br /> Density): <br /> Street address: 1600 Block of River Road <br /> Size: 22.26 acres. <br /> Leqal description: See attached Exhibit "A". <br /> Deed or plat reference: Volume 361, page 166 of the Deed Records for <br /> Hays County, Texas. <br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its <br /> passage and after it has been subject to reconsideration by the Council at its next regular <br /> meeting following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote to reconsider it. <br /> If reconsidered on April 10, 1995, it shall be in effect ten days from and after its <br /> passage on that date if approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not reconsidered <br /> and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as <br /> required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 27 day of March , 1995, subject <br /> to reconsideràtion at the next regular City Council meeting scheduled for <br /> Reconsidered yes no x <br />
