<br />..J <br />~. 0- ~ 8 42 <br />[f~ c;- oex:¡; <br />hi g -~:E <br />M.I<:s l!J =c <br />:.J .0 -0 Ed t5 <br />~ ::.r:¡ <br />Ü:M ~ 2:::' <br />~ ~¿; <br />ORDINANCE 1994- 2 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 821 ALABAMA STREET FROM JIM" SINGLE- <br />FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS. <br />DISTRICT, "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND "P" PUBLIC AND <br />INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT TO "MR" MOBILE HOME AND <br />RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 5,1993, the Zoning Commission of the City <br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change <br />the zoning from "M" single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br />District, "R-l" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) and <br />"P" Public and Institutional District to "MR" Mobile Home and <br />Residential District for property located at 821 Alabama Street; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br />Commission did, on Ocotber 5, 1993 consider the request and. voted <br />to approve it and has recommended that the request. be approved by <br />the City Council of the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 24th <br />day of January, 1994, regarding the request; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning <br />ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> <br />WHEREASt the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the city, as <br />described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br />amended to rezone the following described real property located at <br />821 Alabama Street, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is <br />presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br />District, "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) and <br />"P" Public and Institutional District to "MR" Mobile Home and <br />Residential District: <br /> <br />LOT 19, WEATHERFORD SUBDIVISION NO.2, IN THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, AS SHOWN ON A PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 132, PAGE <br />249 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS' <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br />following. its passage, and provided that the Council did nòt vote <br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on February 14, 199~t shall be <br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of January , 1994, <br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular city council meeting <br />scheduled for February 14, 1994 . <br /> <br />Reconsidered yes no X <br />
