<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br />ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING PROPERTY
<br />LOCATED AT 720 VALLEY STREET FROM "M" SINGLE-
<br />FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS,
<br />DISTRICT TO "R-1" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING
<br />DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND DECLARING AN
<br />¡ EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on January 4,1994, the Zoning Commission of the City
<br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business
<br />District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density)
<br />for property located at 720 Valley Street; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Zoning Commission did, on January 4, 1994 consider the request and
<br />voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br />approved by the city Council of the City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 14Th
<br />day of February, 1994, regarding the request; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS: ,
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the city, as
<br />described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby
<br />amended to rezone the following described real property located at
<br />720 Valley Street, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is
<br />presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex, and Neighborhood
<br />Business District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low
<br />Density) :

<br />BLOCK 5, LOT R, B.W. BREEDING ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME "0", PAGE 202 OF THE HAYS
<br />COUNTY DEED RECORDS.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br />following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote
<br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on February 28, 199~t shall be
<br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br />! City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />scheduled for February 28,1994.
