MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br />~ ~C,:) DISTRICT TO BE HELD ON MAY 7, 1994 FOR, <br />THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MAYOR, A CITY <br />COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE FIVE, AND A CITY <br />COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE SIX; AND TO BE HELD <br />WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING TWO SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEMBERS AT LARGE; <br />ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES FOR THIS ELECTION; <br />MAKING PROVISIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE <br />ELECTION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That a j oint general and special election is <br />ordered to be held by the City of San Marcos (City) and the San <br />Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (School District), <br />at the various polling places and election precincts within the <br />corporate limits of the City, and within the boundaries of the <br />School District, as hereinafter designated, on the 7th day of <br />May, 1994, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which <br />joint election there shall be elected by the qualified voters of <br />the city a Mayor for a term of two years, a City Council Member <br />for Place Five and a city Council Member for Place Six, for terms <br />of three years each, and by the qualified voters of the School <br />District two School District Board of Trustees Members at large, <br />for terms of three years each, in accordance with applicable <br />provisions of the city Charter and State law. <br /> <br />, <br />SECTION 2. That the election precincts for the City election <br />shall be substantially the same precincts as those Hays County <br />Election Precincts which are within the corporate limits of the <br />City of San Marcos, and for the School District election, all <br />those Hays, Caldwell, and Guadalupe County Election Precincts which <br />are within the boundaries of the School District. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
