On March 1,1994, the Zoning commission of the city of San <br />Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br />zoning from "MF-4" Multi-Family District (High Density) to "R-1" <br />Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) for a 1. 329 acre <br />tract of property located on the Northwest side of the 700 Block of <br />Martin Luther King Drive. <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Zoning <br />commission did, on March 1, 1994 consider the request and voted to . <br />approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br />City Council of the city. . <br /> <br />3. The city Council held a public hearing on the 11th day <br />of April, 1994, regarding the request. <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning ordinance, <br />of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to <br />amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br />public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the city, as <br />described in section 3 of the General Zoning ordinance, is hereby <br />amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br />zoned "MF-4" Multi-Family District (High Density) to "R-l" single- <br />Family Dwelling District(Low Density): <br /> <br />Street address: The Northwest side of the 700 Block of <br />Martin Luther King Drive. <br /> <br />Size: 1.329 acre <br /> <br />Leqal description: See Attached Exhibit "A". <br /> <br />Deed or plat reference: Volume 48, page 446, Hays County <br />Plat Records. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br />following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote <br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on it shall be <br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April, 1994, <br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting <br />scheduled for April 25, 1994 . <br />
