ORDINANCE 1994- 24 <7\ -, <br /> - <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL <br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.34 ACRE <br /> TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 733 CENTRE <br /> STREET FROM "M" SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "R-l" <br /> SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) <br /> .- AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. On March 1, 1994, the Zoning Commission of the city of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "M" single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br /> District to "R-1" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) for <br /> a 0.34 acre tract of property located at 733 Centre Street. <br /> 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the zoning <br /> Commission did, on March 1, 1994 consider the request and voted to <br /> approve and has recommended that the request be approved by the <br /> City Council of the City. <br /> 3. The city Council held a public hearing on. the llt-h day <br /> of April , 1994, regarding the request. <br /> 4. All requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning ordinance, <br /> of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos pertaining to <br /> amendments have been met. <br /> 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the <br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the Official zoning Map of the city, as <br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance, is hereby <br /> amended to rezone the following real property which is presently <br /> zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District <br /> to "R-l" single-Family Dwelling District(Low Density): <br /> Street address: 733 Centre Street <br /> Size: 0.34 acre <br /> Leqal description: NE ~ and SW~ of Lot U of the B.W. <br /> Breeding Addition. <br /> Deed or plat reference: Volume 0, page 202, Hays County <br /> Deed Records. <br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) <br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to <br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting <br /> following its passage, and provided that the Council did not vote <br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on April 25, 1994it shall be <br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if <br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not <br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of April , 1994, <br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting <br /> scheduled for April 25, 1994 . <br /> Reconsidered yes no X <br />
