AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS NAMING AN UNNAMED STREET ADJACENT TO CARLSON CIRCLE AS HERNANDEZ WAY¡ PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on November 10, 1992 the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to name an unnamed street within a 60 foot right-of-way between Carlson Circle and the north city limits as Hernandez Way¡ and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, on November la, 1992, approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City¡ and, WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 8th day of February , 1993 regarding the request¡ and, WHEREAS, all requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code' of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street name changes have been met¡ now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the unnamed street within a 60 foot right-of-way between Carlson Circle and the north city limits is hereby named Hernandez Way. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, ,and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading February 8, 1993. PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading February 22, 1993.
