<br /> 13 <br /> ORDINANCE 1993- 17 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME FOR <br /> HOUSTON STREET BETWEEN LAUREL STREET AND <br /> ROGERS STREET TO SERUR STREET; PROVIDING FOR <br /> PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on November 10, 1992 the Planning Commission of <br />the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a <br />request to change the name of Houston Street between Laurel <br />Street and Rogers Street to Serur Street; and, <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, <br />the Planning Commission did, on November 10, 1992, approve <br />the request and has recommended that the request be approved <br />by the City Council of the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the <br />8th day of February , 1993 regarding the request; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street <br />name changes have been met; now, therefore, ~ <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the street name for Houston Street <br />between Laurel Street and Rogers Street is hereby changed to <br />Serur Street. <br /> SECTION 2.
