RESOLUTION 2013 - 23R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE RENEWAL FOR ONE <br />ADDITIONAL YEAR OF A CONTRACT WITH MCCOY TREE <br />SURGERY CO. FOR THE PROVISION OF CITYWIDE TREE <br />TRIMMING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO <br />RENEW THE CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On February 17, 2009 the City Council approved an annual contract with McCoy <br />Tree Surgery Co. for the provision of citywide tree trimming services (the "Contract "). <br />2. The Contract provides that it may be renewed for up to four additional one -year <br />terms. <br />3. The parties wish to renew the Contract for one additional year, being the final <br />renewal allowed under the Contract. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The final renewal for one additional year of the Contract with McCoy Tree <br />Surgery Co. for the provision of citywide tree trimming services is hereby approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute such documents <br />as necessary to renew the Contract for one additional year on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
