Call to Order and Announce a _ uorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, workshop of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Daniel Guerrero at 6:08 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />of San. Marcos City Hall, 630 East :Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. „Hold discussion regarding the 2013 Budget Policy for the City of San Marcos, and <br />provide direction to staff. <br />Steve Parker, Assistant City Manager /Finance Director, provide the Council with the 2013 <br />Budget Policy presentation. Council provided consensus to bring CIP back in the future with <br />descriptions, to place a discussion regarding bond projects on an agenda in October/ November <br />2013 after the start of the next fiscal year, to move forward with amending the Hotel Motel Tax <br />ordinance to require monthly filing, to follow all of staff s suggestions on potential projects, <br />including re -image of Municipal Building, maintenance projects and Education & Youth <br />Initiatives, to earmark $150,000 for Education and Youth Initiatives which will be defined at a <br />later time, to add 4 firefighters, to increase Social Services funding to $410,000 and align <br />
