<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF
<br />THE CITY BY ZONING BLOCK 7, LOTS 1-11, 1ST SECTION-
<br />VICTORY GARDENS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 128, PAGE 46 OF THE
<br />HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED IN THE 200 BLOCK
<br />OF ARMSTRONG STREET FROM "R-1" SINGLE FAMILY
<br />DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) TO "R-2" SINGLE-
<br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (MEDIUM DENSITY) AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on January 21, 1992, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing
<br />regarding a request to change the zoning from "R-1" Single Family
<br />Dwelling District (Low Density) to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling
<br />District (Medium Density) for Block 7, Lots 1-11, 1st Section-
<br />Victory Gardens Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas, as
<br />recorded in Volume 128, Page 46 of the Hays County Deed Records,
<br />located in the 200 Block of Armstrong Street.

<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Commissions did, on January 21, 1992 consider the request and voted
<br />to approve it and has recommended that the request be approved by
<br />the City Council of the cityj and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 23rd
<br />day of March , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br />public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the Off icial Zoning Map of the City, as
<br />described in Section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br />amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-1"
<br />Single Family Dwelling District (Low Density) to "R-2" Single-
<br />family Dwelling District (Medium Density):
<br />
<br />BLOCK 7, LOTS 1-11, 1ST SECTION-VICTORY GARDENS ADDITION TO
<br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 128,
<br />PAGE 46 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br />days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br />reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br />following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br />to reconsider it. If reconsidered on April1S3, 1992 it shall be
<br />in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br />approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br />reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas.

<br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of March , 1992,
<br />subject to reconsideration at the next regular City Council meeting
<br />scheduled for April 13, 1992
