<br />62 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 199Ø - l3 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A JOINT <br />ELECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED <br />INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE HOLDING OF <br />A JOINT GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTION ON MAY 5, <br />199Ø; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, hereby finds and determines that it is in the best <br />interest of the City for the City to cooperate with the San <br />Marcos Consolidated Independent School District in the <br />holding of the general and special city election on May 5, <br />199Ø; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the School District is willing to participate <br />in the holding of a joint election on that date, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART I. That the Joint Election Agreement between the <br />Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas and the San Marcos Conso1 ida ted <br />Independent School District for the holding of the general <br />and special city election of May 5, 199Ø, a copy of which <br />agreement is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all <br />intents and purposes, is hereby approved in all respects. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City Manager of the City, Larry D. <br />Gilley, is hereby authorized to execute the Joint Election <br />agreement on behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PART 3.
