17 IT ~ ORDINANCE 1989-21 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 20-10 OF ARTICLE II I OF CHAPTER 2Ø OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADOPT THE 1988 EDITION OF THE STANDARD GAS CODE, THE 1989 REVISIONS THERETO AND ANY AND ALL SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS THERETO, ADDING SECTION 20-13 TO SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CODE CONTAINING AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD GAS CODE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: , I SECTION 1. That Section 20-10 of Article III of Chapter 20 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby ~ amended to read as follows: r~ Chapter 2Ø PLUMBING AND GAS . . . ARTICLE III. GAS PIPING AND GAS APPLIANCES Sec. 2Ø-10. Gas Code Adopted Th.ere is hereby adopted by the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations governing the installation of consumers' gas piping systems extending from the point of delivery to the inlet connections of appliances and the installation and operation of residential and commercial gas appliances, that certain code known as the Standard Gas Code, being particularly the 1988 edition, published in 1988 by the Southern Building Code Congress International. Inc., 9ØØ Montclair Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35313-1206, and the 1989 revisions to said edition published by said Congress, and any and all subsequent amendments thereto, of which a copy has been and now is filed in the office of the City Secretary of the City of San Marcos, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out herein. SECTION 2. That Section 20-12 of Article III of Chapter 20 of the Code of Ordinances o.f the City of San Marcos, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows; Sec. 20-12 Permit Fee Schedule. On all installations requiring a permit pursuant to Section A103.7.l and Appendix C of the Standard Gas Code the following fees shall be paid: . . . SECTION 3. That Section 20-13 is added to Article III of Chapter 20 of said Code of Ordinances to include amendments to the 1988 edition of the Standard Gas Code: Sec. 2Ø-13 Amendments to Standard Gas Code. (a) Section lØl.3.3 of the Standard Gas Code, 1988 Edition, is amended to read as follows: Section lØl.3.3. Appendices (a) The appendices included in this Code are enforceable and are incorporated herein and made a part hereof for all purposes. (b) Section 101.4 Gas Department is deleted.
