46 ORDINANCE 1989-23 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR SAN MARCOS BY THE ADOPTION OF THE "RECOMMENDED COLLECTION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS MAP" AS A SUPPLEMENT TO MAP VIII-2 IN THE PUBLIC WORKS ELEMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS MASTER PLAN AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted a Master Plan for said City on May 9, 1983; and, WHEREAS, Black & Veatch prepared a Wastewater System Master Plan in 1987, which included a map entitled "Recommended Collection System Improvements~" and, WHEREAS, said map supplements the Existing and Future Wastewater System Map VIII-2 already contained within the City of San Marcos Master Plan; and, WHEREAS, on April 18, 1989, the Planning and Zoning Commissions of the City of San Marcos voted to recommend adoption of said map~ and, WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the proposed Master Plan Amendment on May 22, 1989~ now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Master Plan for the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted on May 9, 1983, is hereby amended by the adoption of the "Recommended Collection System Improvements Map" as an addition and supplement to the Existing and Future Wastewater System Map VIII-2 contained in the Public Works Element of said Master Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos. PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading May 22, 1989. PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading .June 12, 1989.
