Brown <br /> Gerald G. Farr <br /> Fred Guerra <br /> Betty Jane Kissler <br /> John A. Kreczmer <br /> * Jaime Moore <br /> City Hanager A. C. Gonzalez <br /> City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br /> City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins <br /> Police Chief Myron Galchutt <br /> Also Present: Olga Garza, Bill Coddington, Gregg Echols, Mark Hendricks, <br /> Jerri Hartin, Anita Reyes, Frank Avaros, Pat Bethea and others. <br /> Hayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pursuant <br /> to Article 6252-17, §2(e), V.A.C.S., to discuss personnel and Hr. <br /> Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (4:31 p.m.) <br /> Hr. Guerra moved the Council convene at 5:43 p.m. and Ms. Kissler se- <br /> conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock announced the Council would receive the recommendations <br /> of the Civil Service Commission regarding temporary employment of per- <br /> sons for the Police Department who are over the age of thirty-five <br /> years (Article l269m, §28[a], V.A.C.S.). Chief Galchutt reviewed with <br /> the Council the recommendations of the Civil Service Commission. They <br /> recommended the Council approve the hiring of persons over thirty-five <br /> years of age for temporary employment in the Police Department with <br /> the following requirements: (1) the Police Department conduct a back- <br /> ground investigation, (2) a polygraph test be given, ( 3) a physical <br /> examination be made, and (4) a psychological evaluation be conducted. <br /> Chief Galchutt also recommended the salary for persons hired temporarily <br /> under this provision be set at $1,236.66 monthly (Grade 19-0) for a <br /> maximum duration of 120 days. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for temporary <br /> employment of persons for the Police Department who are over the age <br /> of thirty-five years pursuant to Article l269m, §28 (a), V.A.C.S. Mr. <br /> Brown moved the the recommendations listed above of the Civil Service <br /> Commission and Chief Galchutt be approved and Hs. Kissler seconded the <br /> motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m. on motion made by Hr. Guerra and <br /> seconded by Hr.
