<br />WATERWORKS SYSTEM <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos receives its total water supply from four existing wells tapping the Edwards <br />Aquifer. The system is served from two pressure planes, the upper pressure plane serving the area above <br />the Ba1cones Escarpment with the lower pressure plane serving the remainder of the City. The City's <br />wa terworks system is comprised of three pump stations, two ground storage tanks and three elevated <br />storage tanks.
