Airport Commission During 1984, the Airport Commission has: -- approved a standard lease -- approved a tiedown agreement -- approved a t-hangar lease agreement -- approved airport rules and regulations -- negotiated a lease agreement with North Þ~erican Aerospace -- recoITLmended zoning changes Current projects include: -- arranging for utilities -- negotiations for land leases with maintenance shop -- 21 acre land acquisition -- capital improvements (reflectors, entrance sign, etc.) -- "Minimum Standards and Requirements for the Conduct of a CorrLffiercial Aeronautical Activities" -document -- height hazard zoning -- selection of consultant for AlP Project The Airport Commission is aware of the apparent inconsistencies In various leases. To address this problem, and to prevent even the appearance of "sweetheart" deals, the Commission is setting on record, in the form of standard documents available to anyone interested in the Airport, certain requirements and standards for businesses operating out of the Airport. They have also approved a standard lease format, which was used in the recent negotiations with North &ùerican l~erospace, and will be used in all future lease negotiations. These and other documents, which are listed above, will be coming before +--1--"" City '-..~ Council for approval shortly. As you can see, the Airport Commission has been very busy during the first four months of 1984. The Commission's goal for 1984: to bring the Airport "up to speed" with other airports In Texas and the nation, to attract new business, and to provide San ,Narcos with an airport to be proud of.
