<br />-4- <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That the following proposition regarding the <br />method of selection of the Judge of the Municipal Court of record <br />of said City shall be submitted to the resident qualified voters <br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas on said date for their <br />consideration and/or action thereon: <br /> <br />Proposition No. 21 <br /> <br />Indicate your choice of method for the selection of the <br />Judge of the Municipal Court of Record: <br /> <br />Selection by <br />San Marcos; <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />Election every two (2) or four (4) years: <br /> <br />SECTION 4. That the following proposition regarding the <br />removal of the parkland designation on certain City property shall <br />be submitted to the resident qualified voters of the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas on said date for their consideration and/or action <br />thereon: <br /> <br />Proposition No. 22 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />Removal of the parkland restriction on the use <br />of a 25-acre tract of City-owned land, more or <br />less, located across Hopkins Street from City <br />Hall and bordered by East Hopkins Street, West <br />Bugg Lane, and Missouri-Pacific Railroad <br />right-of-way, so that the property can be used <br />for the sole purpose of constructing a Ci1".y <br />Library, and provided that after the library <br />is located at a site on the property or at the <br />end of five (5) years, whichever comes first, <br />the remaininq acreage shall be returned to <br />parkland restriction. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. That the following proposition for or against <br />single-member districts for the election and service of City <br />Council Members shall be submitted to the resident qualified <br />voters of the City of San Marcos, Texas on said date for their <br />consideration and/or action thereon: <br /> <br />Proposition No. 23 (Non-binding) <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST <br /> <br />Single-member dis1".ricts for the election <br />and service of City Council members <br /> <br />SECTION 6. That the following proposition regarding the <br />type of single-member district system preferred by the voters if <br />said City adopts a single-member district plan, shall be submitted <br />to the resident qualified voters of the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />on said date for their consideration and/or action thereon: <br /> <br />Proposition No. 24 (Non-binding) <br /> <br />If the City of San Marcos adopts a single-member <br />district plan, which of the following single-member district. <br />systems would you prefer: <br /> <br />Mayor elected at large, six <br />elected in districts: <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />Members <br /> <br />Mayor elected at large, two (2) City Council <br />members elected at large, four (4) City Council <br />members elected in districts: <br /> <br />Seven (7) City Council members elected <br />districts, Mayor selected by City Council: <br /> <br />in <br />
